The 6 TH Balkan Agrobiodiversity and Rural Heritage Fair

REGIONAL FAIR OF BALKAN AGROBIODIVERSITY AND RURAL HERITAGE

Balkan Agrobiodiversity and Rural Heritage Fair is a traditional manifestation whose aims are to promote Balkan native breeds of domestic animals , to emphasize their scientific, economic and ecological significance, and their relationship with rural tradition, as well as to encourage frontier cooperation when maintenance of agrobiodiversity, rural heritage and rural development are concerned.

The Fair gathers representatives of local associations and cooperatives, scientific, educational and exploration institutions, local and regional craftsmen , music, and folklore groups from Serbia , Bulgaria and Macedonia on a regular basis. Balkan breeds of animals are regularly presented to the public, which makes the manifestation unique in this part of Europe .

Date: 21 September, the Day of the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad.
