       The Tourist Organization of Dimitrovgrad has been established on 24 March, 2007 .

      The main goal of the Tourist Organization of Dimitrovgrad is to develop and promote tourism of the municipality of Dimitrovgrad .

      In addition, the Tourist Organization has taken part in encouraging the programme of building the tourist infrastructure, land development, and in being a coordinator and a collaborator between business and other subjects. The Organization adjusts its plans and programmes of work to the activities of the Ministry of trade, tourism and services, and the Tourist Organization of Serbia, and it provides informational and advertising material which is promoting the tourist values of Dimitrovgrad. The Organization also collects and publishes information about the overall tourist offer in the municipality.

      Due to the specific location of the municipality of Dimitrovgrad, the Tourist Organization of Dimitrovgrad is especially committed to establishing cooperation and fostering the relationship with other tourist organizations of Serbia gravitating around the region of the Stara Planina (Pirot, Knjazevac, Zajecar), as well as with other tourist representatives from the neighbouring Republic of Bulgaria .

       One of the goals of the Tourist Organization of Dimitrovgrad is to use the tourist values that the municipality possesses (cultural and historical heritage, the healthy environment – water, air, food, natural rarities), in order to stir the development, promote tourism and take part in the developmental strategy of tourism in Serbia, which is a high-priority branch of the economy. This can be observed as a great chance for the development of the whole region.
